Job summary

St Columba's Hospice Care is seeking a proactive Volunteer Services Administrative Assistant to join our team in Edinburgh. The role supports daily admin, volunteer recruitment, event planning, and database management in a busy hospice environment.

You will handle rota administration, liaise with team leads, ensure onboarding compliance, and provide excellent contact with staff and volunteers from diverse backgrounds. An MS Office proficient, team-oriented individual is ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience handling administrative tasks in a busy environment.
• Strong numeracy and data entry accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to Volunteer Services operations.
• Assist with volunteer recruitment and onboarding tasks.
• Plan and coordinate volunteer and staff events.
• Maintain and update the volunteer database (Better Impact).
• Provide rota administration and support for Rotageek scheduler.
