Job summary

Liverpool Football Club Foundation (LFC Foundation) is seeking a Volunteer Senior Coordinator to design and deliver the volunteer journey, ensuring a rewarding experience for every volunteer.

You will recruit, onboard and manage volunteers, align opportunities with skills and aspirations, and work with safeguarding requirements, governance standards and partnerships to maximise community impact at Anfield and across our programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience managing volunteers in an organisation with safeguarding needs.
• Proven ability to deliver governance-compliant volunteer infrastructure.
• Volunteer experience and a passion for helping people reach potential.
• Understanding of recruitment and onboarding in volunteer settings.

Responsibilities

• Design and continuously improve volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and management processes in line with best practice and Foundation needs.
• Develop and maintain volunteer role profiles, guidance, and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Lead volunteer attraction campaigns and build partnerships to engage diverse volunteers that reflect our communities.
• Coordinate volunteer onboarding, pre-employment checks, and safeguarding requirements.
• Create a positive and engaging volunteer experience through ongoing support, development opportunities, and recognition initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with volunteers and managers, ensuring effective communication, feedback, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor and evaluate volunteer activity to ensure a high-quality experience while protecting the Foundation’s interests.
• Act as the Foundation’s subject matter expert on volunteering, supporting the wider people and resource strategy.
• Manage the Foundation’s volunteer management platform and oversee both internal and external volunteer programmes.

Who are we looking for?

• Previous experience of managing volunteers in an organisation with significant safeguarding needs.
• Previous experience of providing an infrastructure that aims to satisfy governance standards involving the use of volunteers.
• A clear understanding of the value volunteers can add and how they should be utilised to maximise impact.
• Experience as a volunteer.
• A passion for helping people reach their potential and career aspirations.

This is a full-time permanent contract working 5 in 7, 35 hours per week.

Your main base will be Anfield Sport and Community Centre.

This role will require to work evenings, weekend and holiday as and when needed.
