Job summary

Liverpool FC Foundation is seeking a Volunteer Senior Coordinator to join the team at Anfield. You will design, deliver and enhance the Foundation’s volunteer journey, ensuring a rewarding experience and robust onboarding processes.

You will recruit, onboard, and manage volunteers, aligning opportunities with skills and aspirations to maximise community impact. You will build partnerships, oversee safeguarding, and maintain governance standards while supporting the Foundation’s strategic

Qualifications

  • Previous experience of managing volunteers in an organisation with significant safeguarding needs.
  • Experience providing an infrastructure that aims to satisfy governance standards involving the use of volunteers.
  • A clear understanding of the value volunteers can add and how they should be utilised to maximise impact.
  • Experience as a volunteer.
  • A passion for helping people reach their potential and career aspirations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and continuously improve volunteer recruitment, onboarding, and management processes in line with best practice and Foundation needs.
  • Develop and maintain volunteer role profiles, guidance, and documentation to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Lead volunteer attraction campaigns and build partnerships to engage diverse volunteers that reflect our communities.
  • Coordinate volunteer onboarding, pre-employment checks, and safeguarding requirements.
  • Create a positive and engaging volunteer experience through ongoing support, development opportunities, and recognition initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with volunteers and managers, ensuring effective communication, feedback, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and evaluate volunteer activity to ensure a high-quality experience while protecting the Foundation’s interests.
  • Act as the Foundation’s subject matter expert on volunteering, supporting the wider people and resource strategy.
  • Manage the Foundation’s volunteer management platform and oversee both internal and external volunteer programmes.

About the role

We are looking for aVolunteer Senior Coordinatorto join the team at LFC Foundation.

You will support the design, delivery, and continuously enhance the Foundation’s volunteer journey, ensuring every volunteer receives an exceptional and rewarding experience. This role will be responsible for understanding the Foundation’s volunteering needs and implementing recruitment and onboarding processes that reflect best practice, ensuring a robust and compliant volunteer experience. You will build and nurture engaging, empowering, and meaningful relationships with volunteers, matching individuals to opportunities that align with their skills, interests, and aspirations, while supporting the Foundation to achieve its strategic objectives and maximise community impact.

Why should you apply?

This is a full-time permanent contract working5 in 7, 35hours per week. Your main base will be Anfield Sport and Community Centre.

This role will require to work evenings, weekend and holiday as and when needed.
