Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a Volunteer and Participation Coordinator for the Gambling Prevention Service in the West Midlands. You will lead volunteering and co-production efforts, recruiting and supporting volunteers while ensuring lived experience informs service development.

You will work with managers and partners to create meaningful opportunities, deliver training, and maintain records for monitoring and improvement, with a strong inclusion focus.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating volunteers, peer support programmes or participation initiatives in health, social care or the voluntary sector.
• Understanding of gambling-related harm, recovery, co-production and lived experience in shaping services.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and facilitation skills with diverse groups.
• Strong organisational and IT skills, with ability to maintain records and produce reports.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, supervise and support volunteers and peer supporters with skills and confidence to succeed.
• Develop and coordinate participation and lived experience initiatives to influence services.
• Collaborate with managers, practitioners and partners to create meaningful volunteering opportunities and inclusive participation.
• Deliver volunteer training, maintain records and produce reports to support monitoring and improvement.
• Promote empowerment, equality and inclusion with lived experience voices at the centre of service development.
