We are looking for one or more marketing/communications professionals to help raise our profile and enable us to reach more clients with out counselling support services.

You will be key in enabling us to develop and improve our branding, messaging and voice through promotional activities and materials increase our digital media presence through interesting and engaging social media activity promote our work to reach and support more people in need of counselling services reach a wider audience of supporters, funders and other stakeholders reinforce our position within the communities in which we operate communicate our work and the positive impact we have on our clients and others through engaging, impactful stories

What are we looking for?

We are looking for one or more candidates with the following skills Essential Professional/voluntary communications/marketing experience ideally with a charity; Experience in copywriting and/or storytelling and able to create engaging, compelling content; Good written and oral communication skills; Good organisational skills; Familiarity with Canva, Google and Microsoft applications; Experience working with Social Media (Instagram, LinkedIn, FaceBook, X, BlueSky) and ideally with working knowledge of Google Analytics, Meta Ads etc; Good team worker; Committed to supporting the mission of Help Counselling. Desirable Video editing or visual content creation; Website development; Fundraising experience; Events planning

What will you be doing?

About Help Counselling Centre Help Counselling is well-established Mental Health Charity. We believe everyone deserves access to quality mental health support, and have been providing affordable, short- and long-term talking therapies for over 60 years. Whether clients are seeking relief from anxiety, stress, depression or other challenges, we are here to help. We offer counselling services to those over 18, both face-to-face in London and online across the UK. We also provide training placements for clinical supervisors, counsellors and psychotherapists who need to gain clinical experience to qualify (or further qualify) and be registered with one of the industry professional bodies such as, BACP or UKCP. Our mission is to develop and grow our offer, enabling us to reach and support more people in need of counselling services. About the role This is a new role designed to support the marketing and communications needs of the charity. We are recruiting one or more marketing/communications volunteers who can work individually or as a team across a variety of activities. Your contribution will help us to raise the profile of Help Counselling, not only enabling us to reach more people in need but also to connect with supporters, partners and new audiences. Reporting to the CEO, you will

• Contribute to the Marketing/Communications strategic plan of the charity;
• Design and create soft and hard copy publicity materials (posters, leaflets, booklets,social media assets) based on our current branding;
• Create engaging content including client stories, articles, social media posts ;
• Manage external media relations including drafting and issue of press releases;
• Manage social media accounts (LinkedIn, Instagram, FaceBook, X, BlueSky);
• Plan, design and implement agreed marketing campaigns;
• Support development of a consistent brand, message and voice across events, activities and publicity materials, according to the target audience;
• Support the planning and attendance at occasional profile-raising and fundraising events.
