Job summary

The Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) is seeking a proactive Volunteer & Engagement Senior Executive for a 12-month fixed-term contract in London with hybrid working. You will coordinate the development and enhancement of the volunteer experience across the Institution.

You’ll support volunteers through recruitment, onboarding, engagement, development and recognition, building systems and processes that make volunteering welcoming and rewarding while listening to feedback to drive

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the development and enhancement of the volunteer experience across the Institution.
• Support volunteers throughout their journey—from recruitment and onboarding through to engagement, development and recognition.
• Create systems, resources and processes that make volunteering welcoming, rewarding and consistent.
• Use volunteer feedback, engagement data and wider insight to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Strengthen participation and retention, anticipate future recruitment and succession needs.
• Bring people together, embedding values and behaviours across the volunteer journey.
• Shape a thriving, inclusive and engaged volunteer community to deliver greater impact.
