Job summary

Transport for London invites applications for a Mechanical Engineering Year in Industry Internship. The program runs for one year with multiple rotations across TfL Engineering, offering training to pursue Chartered Engineer status with IMechE and real-world impact on projects from signalling upgrades to accessibility improvements.

You must be in the penultimate year of an MEng or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, with IMechE accreditation.

Qualifications

• Penultimate year of an MEng or MSc in Mechanical Engineering.
• Academic qualification must be IMechE-accredited.
• You must have the right to work in the UK for the duration of the scheme and TfL cannot sponsor visas.
• Only one application per year for TfL graduate schemes.

Responsibilities

• One-year development programme with three to four placement rotations across TfL Engineering.
• Support career development toward Chartered Engineer status with IMechE.
• Work on projects across TfL such as track/workstream upgrades and accessibility improvements.
