Job summary

Rotherham Hospice is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to lead the day-to-day coordination of volunteers across the hospice in Rotherham. The role focuses on recruitment, onboarding, induction, placement, ongoing support and, where appropriate, ending volunteering arrangements.

The postholder will ensure volunteers are matched, supported and valued, with volunteering activity being safe, effective and aligned with the hospice mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate volunteer recruitment and onboarding processes.
• Maintain accurate records in the volunteer system.
• Provide day-to-day support, supervision and wellbeing for volunteers.
• Ensure safeguarding, DBS checks and compliance.
• Develop opportunities for training and recognition of volunteers.
• Support inclusive and welcoming volunteer journey.
