Job summary

Rotherham Hospice Ltd in Rotherham is seeking a proactive Volunteer Coordinator to lead day-to-day coordination of volunteers across the Hospice.

You will recruit, onboard, support and recognise volunteers, maintain records in Volunteero, ensure safeguarding and compliance, and work with managers to match volunteers to roles and opportunities.

The role may involve occasional weekend work with a salary of £24,853–£30,375 per annum and a 37.5 hour week.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating clear, meaningful volunteer role descriptions.
• Promote opportunities through community networks and digital channels.
• Coordinate enquiries, applications, interviews and safer recruitment checks.
• Maintain accurate records of volunteers in Volunteero.
• Assist in matching volunteers to suitable roles.
• Coordinate induction, training and onboarding.
• Provide day-to-day direction and wellbeing support.
• Escalate safeguarding or conduct concerns when needed.
• Develop training, progression and recognition opportunities.
• Support positive endings and exit feedback.
