Job summary

Farmfoods seeks a VMU Supervisor for our brand new distribution centre in Daventry, Northamptonshire. You will join a hands-on team responsible for vehicle maintenance, safety inspections, and rostering within a 40-hour week, with some weekend flexibility, starting in November.

The role includes a day shift from 08:00 to 16:30, 30 days holiday, on-site canteen, parking, and a company phone and van. Training begins at our Monkspath depot before the November start date.

Job description

VMU Supervisor, Full time 40 hours per week. We are looking to recruit a VMU Supervisor for our brand new distribution centre in Daventry, Northamptonshire. Details about the new site are included below:

• Address = Logicor Park Daventry, Royal Oak Way, Daventry, NN11 8QL.
• Positions starting in November
• Initial training to be held in our Monkspath, Solihull depot prior to the November start date

Within this role you will be guaranteed 40 hours per week working Monday to Friday (with some weekend flexibility when needed) and you will receive an annual salary of £58,783. The shift pattern available will be: Day Shift: 08:00 to 16:30.

• Inputting hours to time sheet app and managing rotas.
• Managing annual leave.
• Support in dealing with breakdowns via contractors.
• Managing stock and ordering parts.
• Managing disciplinary investigations or absence management.
• Reporting to fleet manager and supporting fleet management processes.
• To be flexible to the requirements of your team and the business.
• Good mechanical knowledge and able to support the VMU function, hands on, where needed.
• Supporting the training of staff and apprentices.
• Keeping VOR (Vehicles off the road) as low as possible through allocation of work, using third parties if required.
