Farmfoods Ltd invites applications for VMU Supervisor at our new distribution centre in Daventry, Northamptonshire. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday with some weekend flexibility. Salary £58,783 per year.

Initial training located at Monkspath, Solihull depot before November start. You will lead the VMU team, perform hands-on vehicle maintenance, ensure DVSA compliance and manage rotas, stock, and contractor breakdowns.

Formación

• Hands-on vehicle maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of DVSA guidelines and operator licence obligations.
• Experience in managing rosters and annual leave.
• Ability to train staff and apprentices.
• Experience handling breakdowns with contractors.

Responsabilidades

• Hands on approach with VMU team.
• Repair vehicles and maintain MOT pass rate.
• Complete safety inspections on units and trailers.
• Input hours to time sheet app and manage rotas.
• Manage annual leave and disciplinary investigations.
• Assist fleet management and report to fleet manager.
• Be flexible to team and business needs.
• Support training of staff and apprentices.
• Minimize VOR by allocating work and using third parties if needed.

VMU Supervisor, Full time 40 hours per week.

We are looking to recruit a VMU Supervisor for our brand new distribution centre in Daventry, Northamptonshire. Details about the new site are included below:

• Address = Logicor Park Daventry, Royal Oak Way, Daventry, NN11 8QL.
• Positions starting in November
• Initial training to be held in our Monkspath, Solihull depot prior to the November start date

Within this role you will be guaranteed 40 hours per week working Monday to Friday (with some weekend flexibility when needed) and you will recieve an annual salary of £58,783.

Shift pattern available will be:

• Day Shift: 08:00 to 16:30

The role will involve:

• A hands on approach working with the VMU team.
• Physically working and repairing vehicles.
• Maintaining a strong MOT pass rate.
• Completing safety inspections on units and trailers in accordance with DVSA guideline, company policy and obligations of the operator licence.
• Inputting hours to time sheet app and managing rotas.
• Managing annual leave.
• Support in dealing with breakdowns Via contractors.
• Managing stock and ordering parts.
• Managing disciplinary investigations or absence management.
• Reporting to fleet manager and supporting fleet management processes.To be flexible to the requirements of your team and the business.
• Good mechanical knowledge and able to support the VMU function, hands on, where needed.
• Supporting the training of staff and apprentices.
• Keeping VOR (Vehicles off the road) as low as possible though allocation of work, using third parties if required.
