Job summary

Farmfoods in Solihull, Monkspath (B90 4NY), is hiring an HGV Mechanic for a full-time 4on4off role at our VMU depot. The position offers £22.61 per hour with a shift from 08:00 to 20:00.

You will maintain a fleet including Mercedes, Renault and Scania tractor units and various multi-temperature trailers, performing inspections, repairs and testing with fault diagnosis.

Qualifications

• Diagnostic equipment and fault tracing enabling first-time repair.
• MOT preparation experience for vehicle fleet.
• Ability to perform inspections and repairs on heavy goods vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the fleet of vehicles and trailers (Mercedes, Renault, Scania, multi-temperature trailers).
• Carrying out inspections, repairs and testing; diagnosing faults.

HGV Mechanic, Full time - 4on4off Based in our vehicle maintence unit (VMU) at our depot in Solihull, Monkspath. (Postcode: B90 4NY)

Within this role you will recieve £22.61 per hour.

The Shift Pattern available will be: - 08:00 to 20:00 on a 4on4off shift pattern.

The role will involve:

• Maintaining their fleet of vehicles and trailers which consists of Mercedes, Renault and Scania tractor units along with a variety of multi-temperature trailers, curtain sliders and box trailers.
• Carrying out inspections, repairs and testing.
• Diagnosing faults.

You will need the following qualifications and experience to be considered:

• Level 3 City & Guilds Maintenance of Heavy Goods Vehicles (or equivalent)
• Diagnostic equipment and fault tracing resulting in first time repair
• MOT preparation

In addition if you have experience in any of the following please let them know in your application:

• LOLER experience and tail lift repair (desirable)
• Multi temperature trailers and fridge repairs (desirable)
• CE licence (desirable)
