Job summary

Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust at Slimbridge Wetland Centre is seeking Casual Visitor Services Trading Assistants to warmly welcome visitors and promote the site’s highlights. You will contribute to memberships and sales, helping to fund conservation work through effective service and engagement.

The role is casual with ad hoc hours, including weekends and school holidays, and may involve working across admissions, retail and catering.

Qualifications

• Basic GCSE qualifications or similar experience.
• Experience of providing exceptional customer service.
• Good communications skills.
• Ability to work as part of a busy team, and independently if required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome both member and non-member visitors and promote highlights and key experiences at Slimbridge Wetland Centre.
• Promote and sell memberships.
• Maximise sales and membership recruitment to support conservation work.
• Work across visitor services, retail and catering departments as needed.
• Adhere to ad hoc hours including weekends, bank holidays and school holidays.
