Job summary

Wildwood in Kent is seeking a Visitor Services Assistant to support a busy, customer-facing environment across shop, café, play park and park facilities. You will greet visitors, handle queries, upsell memberships and cafe items, process payments, and help maintain a clean, welcoming park experience.

The role is part-time with variable hours, using National Living Wage. Flexibility for peak times and seasonal events is expected, with opportunities to engage visitors about wildlife and park

Qualifications

• Confidence to work independently.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Strong communication skills.
• Passion for customer service.
• Ability to engage with visitors and direct enquiries.
• Willingness to handle peak-times and busy periods.
• Interest in wildlife and Wildwood's mission.
• Experience with POS systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome visitors and manage flow in peak times.
• Provide professional customer service face-to-face, on phone and in writing.
• Upsell memberships, gift aid, trails, experiences, and café items.
• Handle deliveries and stock, keep areas tidy and presentable.
• Process orders at till points and handle payments.
• Serve food promptly and ensure cleanliness of facilities.
• Support park events and campaigns.
• Report issues to managers.
