Job summary

Swanage Town Council seeks a proactive Visitor Services Manager to lead our information centre and allied facilities. You’ll manage a diverse team, drive excellent customer service, and develop ideas to improve the visitor experience across Swanage.

Based Thursday to Monday, the role involves weekend and bank holiday work and provides LGPS membership and generous leave. A passion for Swanage and strong organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a public-facing role.
• Strong customer service ethos and problem-solving approach.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Willingness to work weekends/bank holidays in Swanage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Visitor Services team and oversee Swanage Information Centre, Beach Huts, Beach Gardens Sports Park, Boat Park and Friday Market.
• Coordinate actions with colleagues, contractors and partner organisations.
• Ensure issues are dealt with promptly and effectively with a focus on service excellence.
• Develop ideas to enhance the visitor experience for residents and visitors alike.
