Job summary

Southampton City Council is seeking a Visitor Experience Assistant (Venues) to warmly welcome visitors to our museums and gallery. You will assist with front-of-house operations, provide information on exhibitions and services, and support ticketing and retail tasks while helping to maintain presentation across venues.

We are looking for friendly, flexible candidates with strong communication and a service-oriented approach who can work well in a team to ensure inclusive experiences for visitors

Qualifications

• Customer service experience.
• Clear communication with visitors of all ages and backgrounds.
• Able to work as part of a team and respond to visitors positively.

Responsibilities

• Provide a warm, helpful welcome to visitors at our venues.
• Support front of house operations and answer enquiries.
• Give information about exhibitions, collections and services.
• Assist with online ticketing and payments, support retail.
• Maintain venue presentation and collect visitor information.
• Support venue hire, exhibitions, learning and events activities.
