Job summary

London Borough of Bromley is seeking an IT and Reprographics Specialist Teaching Assistant for the Vision Team, starting September 2026. The role is permanent and part-time, 22.5 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, with pro-rata salary arrangements.

The post supports Sensory Support Service, and involves creating accessible materials, assisting with IT and assistive technology, and direct work with pupils to help them participate in learning.

Qualifications

• Strong IT skills and ability to create accessible learning materials.
• Experience in education, SEND or vision impairment is welcome.
• Enthusiasm to learn specialist skills and contribute to the Vision Team.

Responsibilities

• Create accessible learning materials including large print, braille and tactile resources.
• Support use of IT and assistive technology in classrooms.
• Collaborate with pupils, schools and staff to enable learning access.
• Assist with pro-rata scheduling and term-time hours.
