Job summary

London Borough of Bromley is seeking a Specialist Teaching Assistant (19.5 hours a week, term-time only) to join the Vision Team within the Sensory Support Service. The role focuses on supporting children and young people with vision impairments, with training provided in vision impairment and braille.

You will work in schools, adapting materials to support inclusion and learning. The post is permanent and part-time, with a pro-rata salary from £12,797.47 to £14,040.20, based on BR6 scale, 39

Qualifications

• Experience as a teaching assistant in mainstream or special schools.
• Willingness to support children with vision impairments.
• Ability to modify educational materials for accessibility.
