Job summary

Randstad CPE is recruiting for an experienced Vinyl Floor Layer in Central London to join a leading interior fit-out contractor on high-end commercial, healthcare, and educational refurbishments.

You will handle subfloor prep, lay sheet vinyl and LVT, perform hot welding and finishing with precision, and ensure accurate cutting for doorways and fixtures. CSCS Blue card and 3+ years' experience required; own tools and right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• CSCS Blue Skilled Worker (Floor Laying) certification.
• Minimum 3 years' vinyl laying experience in commercial settings.
• Own full set of hand tools, hot welder and PPE.
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Subfloor preparation including screeding and ply-boarding.
• Lay sheet vinyl, safety flooring and LVT.
• Perform precision hot welding, capping and coving.

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Vinyl Floor Layer on behalf of a leading interior fit-out contractor working across high-end commercial, healthcare, and educational refurbishment projects in Central London.

Key Responsibilities

• Subfloor preparation: screeding, latexing, and ply-boarding.
• Laying sheet vinyl, safety flooring, and Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT).
• Performing precision hot welding, capping, and coving.
• Accurately measuring, cutting, and trimming vinyl to fit doorways, borders, and complex fixtures.

Requirements

• CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker card in Floor Laying preferred).
• Proven commercial vinyl laying experience (minimum 3 years).
• Own full set of hand tools, hot welder, and PPE.
• High level of attention to detail and finishing skills.
• Valid Right to Work in the UK.
