Job summary

Ashwood Spencer Academy, part of Spencer Academies Trust, invites applications for a Vice Principal for Inclusion to lead our SEND provision and inclusion strategy. As a Senior Leadership Team member, you will shape policy, champion inclusive practice and ensure every pupil receives the support, challenge and opportunities they need to thrive.

This role concentrates on whole-school leadership with no class teaching, enabling maximum impact across the academy.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS.
• Working towards NASENCO or NPQ for SENCOs.
• Experience leading SEND, inclusion or pastoral provision.
• Strong understanding of attendance/inclusion and their impact on outcomes.
• Ability to inspire and develop staff to deliver inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of high-quality SEND provision and inclusive practice.
• Drive improvements in attendance, engagement and pupil outcomes.
• Collaborate with families and external agencies to remove barriers to learning.
• Operate as Named SENDCo and strategic lead for attendance, with no class teaching.
