Citi is seeking a Production Engineer to design, build, and operate intelligent systems powering our global production environment. You will shape AI-native development, write production-grade code daily, and champion reliable, scalable software across the stack.

You will architect agentic workflows, leverage LLMs, and drive observability and automation in a regulated financial setting. Hybrid work is available with strong learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in a software/production engineering role with high business impact.
• Strong programming foundation (Java, Python, Go, or equivalent).
• Experience with AI/ML engineering and LLM APIs (OpenAI/Anthropic/Gemini or open-source).
• Proven expertise in prompt engineering for production use cases.
• Experience deploying agentic systems with multi-agent orchestration.
• Experience with CI/CD, IaC, and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and maintains production-grade software for reliability and scale.
• Architects agentic AI workflows for autonomous production systems.
• Applies prompt engineering to integrate LLMs into tooling and pipelines.
• Develops AI-native observability to detect anomalies and automate remediation.
• Writes clean, tested code and promotes best engineering practices.
• Drives CD/automation, RCA reviews, and knowledge management.
