Job summary

BNY in Manchester seeks a Vice President for Production Services Application Support to lead delivery of AI-first web and data platform solutions within FX Execution Services. You will mentor engineers, drive secure, observable production deployments, and coordinate with architecture, security and compliance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Hands-on software development experience and production systems delivery.
• Strong understanding of AI patterns including RAG, semantic search, and agent-based design.
• Hands-on experience building backend services, APIs, and production systems.
• Experience across architecture, data, and platform concerns.
• Experience delivering AI/data/workflow-heavy solutions in regulated environments.
• Strong systems-thinking and architectural judgment across services and infrastructure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Embed stakeholders to scope time-boxed engagements and drive delivery plans.
• Design and deploy AI-first solutions spanning data, APIs, and workflows.
• Reuse existing platforms and contribute reusable code and patterns.
• Conduct discovery with teams to validate feasibility and prototypes.
• Surface patterns to standardize platform capabilities.
• Apply secure-by-default practices with observability and operability.
• Prepare handoff packages for ongoing ownership after deployment.
• Contribute to FDE playbooks and governance alignment.
• Coordinate with architecture, security, and compliance stakeholders.
• Program robust, testable code and manage technical debt.
• Apply security and privacy principles across the SDLC.
• Mentor junior engineers and stay current with tech trends.
