Hunter Philips Executive Search is seeking a strategic leader to drive the HV Substations business across the UK and Europe. You will oversee engineering teams, shape delivery across transmission projects and ensure client satisfaction.

The role combines senior technical leadership, business development and financial stewardship, with a focus on safety, standards and high-quality project outcomes.

Competenze

• Significant experience in HV substation engineering, including senior leadership responsibility.
• Strong understanding of transmission substation design and project delivery.
• Experience within an engineering consultancy, including business development and commercial management.
• Track record of leading teams and managing key client relationships.
• Electrical engineering degree or equivalent; Chartered Engineer status preferred.

Mansioni

• Lead multidisciplinary teams across primary plant, protection & control and substation design.
• Set business strategy, identify opportunities and support bids and proposals.
• Develop relationships with utilities, developers, contractors and equipment manufacturers.
• Oversee engineering quality, project delivery, resource planning and financial performance.
• Recruit, develop and retain engineering talent.
• Provide senior technical oversight and ensure compliance with client requirements and relevant standards.
