Hunter Philips Executive Search is seeking experienced Protection Engineers and Protection Lead Engineers for major HV Transmission Substation projects across Scotland. The role involves designing and developing protection and control schemes, providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle, and interfacing with stakeholders. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in high voltage transmission protection systems and the ability to manage technical delivery. A background in substation automation and modern numerical relays is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Significant experience in high voltage transmission protection systems.
• Familiarity with advanced control and automation systems.
• Capable of managing project delivery and team mentoring.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop protection & control schemes for HV substations.
• Coordinate with equipment and system integration teams.
• Provide technical support across project lifecycle.
• Interface with utilities, consultants, and project stakeholders.

Kenntnisse

Strong experience in HV transmission protection systems (132kV and above preferred)

Experience with modern numerical relays

Knowledge of protection schemes (distance, differential, busbar)

Familiarity with substation equipment

Ability to manage technical delivery and mentor engineers
