Job summary

Hunter Philips Executive Search is seeking an experienced Technical Lead for 132/33/11kV substation projects in the United Kingdom. The role offers hybrid working with a Birmingham office, remote work, and client meetings, on a 6-9 month contract with ASAP start.

You will provide technical advice across 11kV–132kV projects, support tendering, design reviews and energisation, and coordinate interfaces with clients and suppliers. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering HV electrical infrastructure projects (11kV–132kV).
• Background as a Technical Lead, Senior Electrical Engineer, SAP or Commissioning Engineer across multiple projects.
• Strong understanding of substation design, protection and control, earthing, cables, transformers and switchgear.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advice across 11kV–132kV projects from tender through energisation.
• Support project managers and site teams with engineering queries and practical delivery solutions.
• Review designs, drawings and submissions for compliance, constructability and operation.
