Job summary

J.P. Morgan Personal Investing is seeking a Control Manager (Vice President) to join the Operations Management team in London.

You will design and implement robust control frameworks, drive regulatory compliance, and partner with Risk, Audit, Compliance, and IT to sustain strong risk controls. You will lead end-to-end control activities, perform risk assessments, and provide executive reporting and metrics to senior leadership, supporting responsible growth and a proactive risk culture across

Qualifications

• Strong experience in operational risk management, controls, compliance, audit, and wealth management.
• Ability to identify risks and implement effective controls for BAU and new initiatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders to remediate operational risk issues and deliver outcomes.
• Strong understanding of wealth management products, regulations, and associated risks.
• Knowledge of trade lifecycle processes and control requirements (execution, capture, settlement).
• Strong knowledge of FCA requirements and regulatory expectations (Suitability, CASS, Consumer Duty).
• Ability to translate process risks into heatmaps and communicate themes to senior audiences.
• Proven time management and ability to manage multiple deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust control frameworks aligned to regulatory expectations and internal policies.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across products.
• Perform deep-dive risk assessments for Operations processes and change initiatives.
• Monitor control performance, evaluate effectiveness, and recommend enhancements.
• Collaborate with Testing, Compliance, Audit, and Risk teams to support the control environment.
• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of regulatory, audit, compliance, and operational risk issues.
• Identify control gaps, root causes, and practical actions to strengthen controls.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
• Prepare executive reporting, dashboards, and presentations to communicate themes and outcomes.
• Provide training and guidance on control processes and risk management practices.
• Contribute to CORE program across key pillars.
• Support operational risk practices and control programs, including committee reporting.
• Review and analyze key metrics to assess the health of the operational risk and control environment.
