Job summary

J.P. Morgan Personal Investing is seeking an Operations Control Manager (Vice President) to embed risk controls across product delivery and daily operations in the UK. You will partner across business, operations, legal, compliance, risk, audit and technology to strengthen control environments.

You will drive risk assessments, develop robust control design, and lead governance reporting while collaborating with stakeholders to mitigate operational risk and safeguard client wealth solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Operational Risk Management within large financial institutions or similar environments.
• Proven ability to identify risks and design durable control mechanisms.
• Solid understanding of wealth management products, regulations, and risks.
• Knowledge of FCA requirements including CASS, Consumer Duty; ISA/Pension regs desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of control frameworks aligned to CORE program and regulatory requirements.
• Cultivate strategic relationships with stakeholders to identify risks and design mitigations.
• Understand Trading and Operations processes to embed scalable controls across the lifecycle.
• Conduct risk assessments for product development and changes; address risks with preventative/detective controls.
• Monitor control effectiveness and propose improvements, automation, and remediation.
• Provide training on control processes and risk culture across teams.
• Support CORE pillars: design, identification, issue management, governance and reporting.
