Job summary

Serco is seeking a Specialist Vetting & Onboarding Coordinator in Kirkby, near Liverpool, to support the Team Manager and oversee a busy Vetting & Onboarding team. You’ll coordinate resources, maintain screening standards, and drive continuous improvement across processes and documentation.

You’ll provide coaching and training to Administrators, lead change initiatives, and ensure timely escalation handling while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of vetting legislation and best practices.

Qualifications

• Desirable knowledge of screening and vetting processes (criminal checks, references, BPSS, UK Vetting).
• Strong understanding of Right to Work legislation and documentation requirements.
• Experience with multiple HR and vetting systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate team workload, rotas, and workflow to meet targets.
• Support administrative tasks: Right to Work Checks, Visa Expiry, Occupational Health & Audit management.
• Coach and train Vetting & Onboarding Administrators.
• Develop and maintain process docs, training materials, templates, and resources.
• Monitor quality and provide performance feedback.
