Job summary

Momentum Security Recruitment is seeking a Security Controller / Vetting Officer (Defence) for a site-based role in Luton. You will manage site vetting and clearances, coordinating with UKSV standards while supporting security projects and contractor management.

The ideal candidate has strong vetting experience, a proactive approach, and solid IT skills to administer processes and ensure compliance with UK Government Security requirements.

Responsibilities

Security Controller / Vetting Officer (Defence)

Location: Site based – Luton, Bedfordshire

Hours: Monday to Friday (days)

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate strong security vetting / administration experience, and ideally a good understanding of UKSV processes and procedures.

As part of the security management team this role plays an integral part in the co-ordination and delivery of on-site security vetting and associated projects. Your role will combine vetting, project support, compliance and contractor/supplier management.

• We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate strong security vetting / background screening experience, together with a good understanding of UKSV processes and procedures.
• Positive and professional attitude with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Proactive with the ability to identify process improvement and implement any changes.
• Strong administration and IT skills
• Have the ability to achieve SC clearance

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Manage the security vetting and clearances for the site
• Deliver site clearances to UKSV standards
• Co-ordinate the delivery of special projects
• Help to create and maintain security culture in line with UK Government Security requirements
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with UK Government Security Policy Frameworks
• Maintenance of all security procedures and implementation of policies
• Ensure that contract SLA’s and KPI’s are met and exceeded
• Manage security clearances for the site.
