Job summary

MBDA in Stevenage is seeking a Vetting Officer to join a busy security team. You will manage BPSS and UKSV vetting processes for new starters, liaise with external agencies, and ensure timely progression of security clearances.

The role requires excellent stakeholder management, meticulous administration, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Hybrid working with office and home days is offered. Pre-employment medical may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with HMG BPSS and UKSV vetting procedures.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and manage priorities.
• Meticulous and accurate in administrative tasks.
• Experience using vetting databases and multiple IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Support the processing of BPSS and UKSV security clearances for new starters.
• Manage confidential and complex vetting cases.
• Act as a point of contact for vetting queries and issues.
• Liaise with UKSV and other external security agencies as required.
• Maintain and update clearance information across vetting databases and IT systems.
• Support wider Personnel Security and Security Services activities.
• Assist with implementing vetting strategy and process improvements.
• Contribute to departmental projects and meet key deadlines.
