Job Description:

As a Business Administrator Team Lead, you will be managing a small team working in a Vetting & Compliance role within our People Operations Team. You will be responsible for the pre-employment screenings of new starters and managing our internal vetting requirements. You will work closely with our Recruitment and Account Management Teams, providing regular updates and ensuring that vetting is completed accurately in line with our requirements. You will build and maintain relationships with our screening vendor to improve productivity and monitor SLAs.

This will be a high-volume administrative role with a particular focus on compliance. Therefore, we require a high level of efficiency, attention to detail, organization, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out vetting checks for new starters in line with company standards within specified timescales
  2. Efficiently manage a caseload of vetting requests in line with our requirements whilst meeting tight deadlines
  3. Communicate effectively with and report to relevant internal and external stakeholders throughout the vetting process
  4. Maintain and build relationships with our external screening vendor to enhance productivity and SLAs
  5. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with the Recruitment and Academy Teams, ensuring any vetting issues are appropriately escalated and responded to
  6. Ensure the accuracy of vetting data in our people systems and on our vetting trackers
  7. Ensure compliance by managing and completing audits in a timely manner
  8. Report information to CIFAS in line with membership terms
  9. Manage and maintain confidential records accurately
  10. Support the wider People and Operations Teams on an ad hoc basis
