Clinical Team Manager

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Clinical Team Managerto oversee and deliver high-quality healthcare services within police custodysettings. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strongleadership, clinical expertise, and a passion for ensuring patient care indiverse and demanding circumstances.

About the Role

As the Clinical Team Manager, you will seamlessly integrateoperational leadership with hands-on clinical duties, ensuring outstanding carefor individuals in police custody. This full-time role offers a dynamicschedule of 7.5-hour shifts across 7 days, supporting a fast-paced service.Success in this role requires flexibility, adaptability, and the ability torespond to evolving demands in a challenging yet rewarding environment.

Main duties of the job

Key responsibilities include:

Leadership and Management:

  • Leading a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses andparamedics
  • Overseeing clinical operations, ensuring compliance with NHS, andPolice standards
  • Supporting recruitment, training, and professional development ofstaff
  • Managing resources, rotas, and service delivery to maintain highstandards of care
  • Liaising with police, commissioners, and other stakeholders toenhance service outcomes

Clinical Work:

  • Providing hands-on clinical care, including assessments,diagnosis, treatment, and referrals for individuals in police custody
  • Delivering care for physical and mental health conditions,including substance misuse and acute injuries
  • Acting as a clinical role model and providing direct supervisionto team members
  • Ensuring accurate record-keeping and documentation in line withlegal and professional standards

You will have experience of workingwith vulnerable groups and / or in a health and Justice setting.

A strong sense of leadership andleading by example to uphold the Trust values and behaviours is a must.

We activelyencourage ongoing professional development within the service remit.

This role requiresfull police vetting, and it is essential that you can travel independentlyacross the area and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.
