Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve consulting, operating and collaborating with a team of dedicated and experienced nursing professionals. You will strive to ensure high standards of care and service for both patients and clients, with a focus on driving sustainability and productivity. The working rota can be tailored to your own clinical preferences, but ideally, we’re looking for a candidate with enough experience to be happy covering sole charge when required.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll work collaboratively with the wider practice team to deliver a high standard of patient and client care across a varied and rewarding caseload.

You’ll continue to develop your clinical skills and interests while sharing your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contributing positively to the clinical culture of the practice. You’ll be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering excellent care and supporting the ongoing development of those around you.

About Us

We’ve been a trusted practice in the local community for several decades. Our clients know us for our high level of care and empathy. The practice has facilities to equip you in your role such as x-ray, ultrasound, and in house laboratory. You will be working with a supportive team consisting of two registered veterinary nurses, one student nurse, one auxiliary, two receptionists, our clinical director and practice manager. There’ll also be support with several experienced locums, who make regular contributions to our fantastic practice.

The Rota

Ideally, we’re looking for someone to work 40 hours per week, over 4 days. There’s also the 1:2 Saturdays (09:00 – 12:00) that would be required. There are no out of hours or on call required in this position. We can also consider applications from candidate who are looking for part-time roles.

A Great Place to Live & Work

Situated in Coventry, honoured as the UK City of Culture in 2021, the practice has convenient transport links to London, Birmingham, as well as the local areas of Leamington Spa and Solihull. The location boasts exceptional retail amenities, a myriad of attractions, historical sites, and picturesque countryside walks—all readily available in the vicinity.

Here’s What the Team Have to Say

“I have started with the practice after doing some locum shifts with this lovely team, which convinced me to take this position and thrive with them! We are a very united team, and we are very proud of the high standard of care we provide to all our patients! Every day I can feel the effort my staff puts into their work, and I am happy to be growing alongside them! Inspiring vet care, Wyken is ready to welcome new colleagues and to support you in all your goals. I am looking forward to what the future holds for us!” Daniela Pereira, Clinical Director
