Congleton Veterinary Centre is seeking a Part-Time Receptionist to join our front-of-house team!

The role involves a high level of face-to-face contact with clients, so we are looking for someone confident, empathetic, and experienced to provide excellent care and a personal touch.

Daily duties include (but are not limited to):

1. Welcoming clients and their pets upon arrival at the practice.
2. Dealing with queries face-to-face, by telephone, and by email.
3. Maintaining accurate records.
4. Ensuring good communication between reception and clinical teams.
5. Taking payments, cashing up, and submitting takings at the end of each day.
6. Adhering to GDPR regulations and respecting client confidentiality.
7. Maintaining a clean and tidy reception and waiting area at all times.
8. Following health and safety procedures and protocols.

About the rota:

This is a part-time permanent role working 30 hours per week. Shifts are from 8:15 am to 7:00 pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break. There will be 1 in 3 Saturdays on a rota basis, and bank holidays are also shared.

The successful candidate should have excellent communication skills, be adaptable in a fast-paced environment, and show empathy during emotional situations. Previous experience is preferred, and proficiency with IT systems is essential.
