Job summary

inspiring vet care in Brighton, a leading UK vet care provider, is seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team on a part-time permanent basis. As the first point of contact for clients and their pets, you will deliver a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience, manage appointments, handle enquiries and support both clinical and non-clinical colleagues.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at New Priory Vetson a part-time permanent basis.

This is a great location in the vibrant seaside town of Brighton and Hove. With it’s exciting and diverse culture, beautiful beach and seafront and excellent transport links to central London and Gatwick airport, Brighton and the surrounding area is a fantastic place to live. Our Brighton Clinic is based within our flagship hospital in central Brighton. The clinic provides a comprehensive range of general practice veterinary services including medicine, surgery, radiography, ultrasound and dentistry along with the support of nursing clinics – all bolstered by excellent hospital facilities. Patients of our Brighton Clinic can also benefit from the on-site support of Brighton Veterinary Referrals if additional expertise is required.
Our beautiful Peacehaven Clinic delivers advanced general practice services to clients on the coast but clients also benefit from the skill sets and facilities available at the Brighton hospital if required.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

• 10hrs 17:30-21:00 Weds, 18:00-21:00 Thurs, 17:30-21:00 Fri
• Occasional cover could be required at Peacehaven and Beech House Vets, Brighton.

Key Responsibilities

• To be the first line contact for clients and their pet's within our practice's and via telephone
• Relay all messages taken accurately & act in a timely manner
• Act in a courteous and professional manner at all times
• Welcome and register clients on arrival, make appointments
• Dispense medicines as directed by our Vet's
• Take payments and cash up
• Complete referrals and other administration tasks
