Job summary

Riverside Veterinary Centre in Belper is seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team on a full-time fixed-term basis for 6 months. You will be the first point of contact for clients, greeting and assisting with appointments and enquiries.

The role requires excellent communication, the ability to handle multiple tasks in a busy practice, and a friendly, professional approach. 40-hour week, 1 in 3 Saturdays, training and development opportunities provided.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism.

• Taking payments and processing transactions.
• Completing daily administrative tasks.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Riverside Veterinary Centre on a full time fixed-term basis for 6 months.

Riverside Vets is a well-established, single-site small animal practice in Belper, with an exciting future ahead. Our team includes veterinary surgeons, RVNs, an SVN, receptionists and a practice manager. How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

• Working 40 hours per week
• 1 in 3 Saturday mornings
