Job summary

Spring Lodge Veterinary Group in Witham is seeking an organised Receptionist to join our team on a part-time fixed-term basis. You will be the first point of contact, delivering a welcoming, professional experience while managing appointments and enquiries.

  • Greeting clients in a professional, friendly and courteous manner.
  • Answering phone calls promptly and handling enquiries efficiently.
  • Booking, cancelling and managing appointments.
  • Taking cash and card payments.
  • Processing insurance claims and instalment enquiries.
  • Handling cash reconciliation and end-of-day banking procedures.
  • Dispensing medications and prescriptions.
  • Maintaining accurate client and patient records.
  • Managing and responding to clinic emails.
  • Completing daily administrative paperwork (lab reports, consent forms, vaccination documents, etc.).
  • Ensuring reception areas and retail products are well stocked and presentable.
  • Liaising with charities regarding collection boxes.
  • Attending reception team meetings when required.

We are seeking an organised, personable Receptionist to join our team at Spring Lodge, Witham on a part-time fixed-term basis.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients, playing a key role in delivering a welcoming, professional and compassionate experience at every interaction.

You’ll support the smooth running of the practice by managing appointments, handling enquiries, supporting client communications and working closely with clinical and non-clinical colleagues to ensure a positive client and patient journey.

Working Pattern

  • Working 31 hours a week, across all of our branches, being flexible with hours, be able to work a saturday, mixture of shifts ranging from 7:45/8am-7/7:15pm, possibly working all day too.
