A leading veterinary practice seeks a part-time Receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients, responsible for managing appointments and inquiries. With no prior veterinary experience required, this role offers full training in a busy and supportive environment. Applicants should possess strong IT skills and a passion for pets.
Our team of Receptionists are the first and last impression of our Practice; responsible for caring for our clients and managing our vets’ diaries. They have a significant impact on our daily operations, and we seek a professional, mature, and good-humored colleague to join us.
An average day involves dealing with callers and visitors, handling appointments and enquiries, processing payments, assisting with admin tasks, and providing preventative healthcare advice. To meet our standards, you need more than great IT skills; you should be highly motivated to learn, passionate about pets, and able to combine professionalism with compassion.
Working in a veterinary practice is busy and demanding, which is why we offer a supportive and friendly environment, along with a competitive salary and benefits, including 20% off at Pets at Home.
This role is part-time, approximately 13 hours per week, working Mondays and Fridays from 2-7 pm, and one weekend every three weeks (Saturday 9-5, Sunday 10:30-4:30).
No previous veterinary experience is necessary as full training will be provided. This role is not suitable for those aiming to become veterinary nurses, as the roles are different. We are looking for someone interested in a long-term position. For the right candidate, there may be opportunities to assist our clinical team with additional shifts, but this does not lead to veterinary nursing.
To apply, please send your CV and cover letter to Kim White-Adams at wsm@companioncare.co.uk.
