We are seeking a friendly, organised, Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a veterinary reception role and will be able to handle a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment. The Veterinary Receptionist will be the first point of contact for our clients and will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Key Responsibilities
Letchworth Veterinary Centre is a small animal practice located in the lovely town of Letchworth in the North Hertfordshire district of Hertfordshire. Less than 40 miles north of central London, North Hertfordshire is an attractive area with many villages, hamlets, and market towns. We are situated close to the town centre and have very good transport links. We are also close to green spaces if you love the outdoors. Our fantastic team of Vets, Nurses and receptionists all work together to provide a professional, caring and friendly service for the pets that visit us and their owners.
Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist is essential for this role, as it requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail are crucial, as well as proficiency in using computer systems and practice management software. The ideal candidate should be able to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a compassionate and caring attitude toward both animals and their owners. A reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor is expected, along with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and additional qualifications in customer service or administration are considered a plus.
