Job summary

DNA Vetcare Ltd in London is seeking a passionate Veterinary Receptionist to join Hackney Vet and deliver exceptional client and pet care at the front desk. You will greet clients, manage appointments, and support our veterinary team with daily administration.

The role requires strong communication, organisational skills, and a genuine love for animals. You will handle payments, promote care plans, and keep digital records up to date in a fast-paced practice environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Veterinary Receptionist or in a customer-facing role within the veterinary industry.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
• Proficiency in computer systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and their pets upon arrival.
• Book appointments and arrivals on the RX Works diary.
• Promote our Healthcare Plan to ensure pets receive premium discounted preventative treatment.
• Book follow-up appointments after initial consultations.
• Support the Vet and Nurse team with queries.
• Scan paperwork onto patients' digital records.
• Liaise with clients regarding appointment bookings and medication collection.
• Order food and medication as needed.
• Take payments immediately after treatment.
• Process 0% finance applications for larger procedures.
• Maintain a busy reception desk with efficiency and professionalism.

Are you a passionate and experienced Veterinary Receptionist looking for an exciting opportunity in London? Look no further! Here at the Hackney Vet we are currently looking for a dedicated individual to join our incredible team as a Veterinary Receptionist.

Our practice is renowned for delivering exceptional care and service to our clients lovely pets. We pride ourselves on our commitment to providing the very best veterinary care while creating a warm and welcoming environment for our teams, our patients and their owners.

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for our clients, you'll be the friendly face and the first person our clients see when they walk through our doors, greeting clients with a smile and giving their pets a good old fuss! You'll assist them with scheduling appointments, answering inquiries and providing general support.

Your Day At Hackney Vets Could Include:

• Welcoming clients and their pets upon arrival
• Book appointments and arrivals on the RX Works diary
• Help to promote our Healthcare Plan so that pets are receiving premium discounted preventative treatment
• Booking in follow up appointments for the pet once they have left their initial consultation
• Help the Vet and Nurse team with queries

• Being responsible for paperwork being scanned onto pets digital records
• Liaison with clients regarding queries for appointment booking and medication collection
• Ordering food and medication
• Taking payment immediately after treatment of the pet
• 0% finance application processing for those clients wanting to spread the cost of payment for larger operations
• Managing an extremely busy reception desk with efficiency and professionalism - and don't forget about those emails coming through or those social media pages!

This is a Full-Time position, working 40 hours per week ( earlies mids and lates) with a 1:2 Saturday rota ( with time back given on a Wednesday)

About You

Ideally you will have:

• Previous Experience working as a Veterinary Receptionist or in a similar customer-facing role within the Veterinary industry
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational abilities and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• A genuine love for animals and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service
• Be proficient in computer systems and software
