Job summary

Vets Now Preston is seeking a part-time Veterinary Nurse to join our out-of-hours team. The role includes triage, surgery, anesthesia, and in-patient care, with shift patterns evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
• Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
• Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.

Understanding your key role

Our nursing team are at the core of clinical treatment including triage, surgery, anaesthesia, and in-patient care. Key responsibilities will include:

Working pattern

Week 1: Friday from 19:00 to 01:00

Week 2: Sunday from 12:00 to 22:00

Week 3: Wednesday from 19:00 to 01:00

Week 4: Tuesday from 19:00 to 01:00 and Sunday from 12:00 to 22:00
