Pets at Home Limited is looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Tilehurst Vets for Pets practice. The role involves supporting non-clinical duties, helping day-to-day running, and delivering high-quality patient care. It is a great stepping stone for someone aiming to become a student nurse in the future.

We welcome both full- and part-time applicants; salary is in line with National Minimum Wage, with opportunities to progress and develop within the group.

Qualifications

• Experience in a veterinary practice is desirable.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Tilehurst Vets for Pets practice. Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned, and purpose-built to industry-leading standards, with state-of-the-art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities. In this role, you will support colleagues with a range of non-clinical duties, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice while delivering the highest standard of patient care. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress into a student nurse role in the future.

• Previous experience working within a veterinary practice would be highly desirable.
• You're friendly, approachable and passionate about delivering excellent client and patient care.
• You're confident communicating with clients and helping them understand the services available to them.
• You remain calm, attentive and compassionate, whether supporting clients through difficult moments or celebrating the happier ones.
• You're enthusiastic, adaptable and happy to support different areas of the practice, including covering reception when required.
• Your positive attitude and engaging personality help create a warm and welcoming environment for clients, pets and colleagues.
