Job summary

Pets at Home Limited is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Newport Vets4Pets team. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week in a bright, purpose-built practice with air-conditioned facilities and advanced equipment for pet health.

You will assist with non-clinical duties and help deliver outstanding patient care. As the welcoming face for clients and their pets, you will stay informed about services, provide guidance, and maintain a caring atmosphere alongside

• Be the friendly face for clients and their pets on arrival.
• Provide guidance by keeping up-to-speed with practice services and available offerings.
• Remain calm, attentive, and always focus on the clients' needs.
• Bring enthusiasm and drive to your role, sharing in the joy of pet visits.
• Support colleagues with non-clinical tasks to ensure smooth daily operation.
• Help manage conversations when clients receive difficult news about their pets.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Newport Vets4Pets. Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities. You will assist all colleagues with non-clinical duties to support smooth running of the practice and provide the best standard of patient care. This is a Full-Time role working 37.5 hour per week. • You are the friendly and welcoming face for the client and their pets when they arrive at the practice.
• You are able to provide guidance by keeping yourself fully up-to-speed with the practice services and any additional services available.
• You are calm, attentive, and always focus on the clients' needs.
• You will bring enthusiasm and drive to your role. Your passion for service is matched with your love of pets.
• You can deal with everything that is thrown at you, from comforting a client who has had some bad news about their pet or sharing in the joy of a new puppy's first visit to the vet.
• Your personality is infectious and along with your fellow colleagues, you create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the practice.
