The Royal British Legion is recruiting an Advocacy and Complex Needs Advisor to provide holistic, person-centred support to veterans in North Yorkshire. The role focuses on improving safety and wellbeing for individuals facing homelessness, mental health challenges, addiction issues, domestic abuse, or involvement with the criminal justice system.

It involves diary-ing visits, case notes, and proactive outreach to build engagement.

Qualifications

• DBS check at Enhanced level is required.
• Live within the North Yorkshire area.
• Willing to travel across the designated area during working hours.

Responsabilités

• Complete effective and efficient case management of beneficiary cases; ensure case records are maintained and up to date.
• Conduct home visits to assess needs, build relationships, engage beneficiaries, and develop person-centred support plans.
• Provide specialist advice and advocacy, identify appropriate services, and support referrals to mental health, housing, and addiction services.
• Coordinate support with beneficiaries and partner agencies to overcome barriers and implement priorities.
• Travel within the region to meet beneficiaries in homes or community locations as required.
