Job summary

The Royal British Legion is seeking an Advocacy and Complex Needs Advisor to support veterans in East Riding of Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire. The role is homebased with regular regional travel, managing a caseload of complex cases and delivering holistic, person-centred assistance to beneficiaries facing homelessness, mental health issues and related challenges.

Qualifications

• DBS check at Enhanced level is required
• Homebased role with regular travel across the East Riding of Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire region
• Live within East Riding of Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire region to be eligible

Responsibilities

• Complete effective and efficient case management of circa 20 complex beneficiary cases; ensure case records are maintained and up to date
• Conduct home visits to assess needs, build relationships, engage clients, review progress and provide practical support
• Work holistically with beneficiaries to identify priorities and develop person-centred support and action plans
• Provide specialist advice and advocacy, identify statutory and external services (mental health, addiction, housing) and support referrals
• Collaborate with beneficiaries and partner agencies to overcome barriers and coordinate support around priorities
