Job summary

The Royal British Legion is seeking an Advocacy and Complex Needs Advisor for the Inverness and Highlands region. The role focuses on holistic, person-centred support for Veterans facing complex challenges, including homelessness and mental health concerns.

You will travel within the region to support beneficiaries and work with partners to coordinate services. Reporting to the Advocacy and Complex Needs Manager, you will manage a caseload, perform home visits, and develop action plans with

Qualifications

• Experience delivering holistic, person-centred support.
• Ability to work with beneficiaries facing complex challenges.
• Ability to travel within the Inverness and Highlands region.
• Discretion and safeguarding awareness (DBS check Enhanced level).

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of complex beneficiary cases and maintain records.
• Conduct home visits to assess need and build relationships.
• Collaborate with beneficiaries and partner agencies to plan and coordinate support.
• Provide specialist advice and advocacy for mental health, housing, and substance misuse services.
• Coordinate support to overcome barriers and progress towards priorities.
