Job summary

The Royal British Legion is seeking an Advocacy and Complex Needs Advisor to cover Northumberland and Northern Ireland. You will deliver holistic, person-centred support to veterans facing complex challenges, including homelessness, mental health, housing, and substance use, while travelling across the designated area to meet beneficiaries in community settings.

This role requires building trusted relationships, providing specialist advice, and coordinating with statutory and external services

Responsibilities

• Complete effective and efficient case management of circa 20 complex beneficiary cases; ensuring case records are maintained, accurate and up to date.
• Complete visits with beneficiaries in their homes to assess need, build and maintain positive relationships, engagement, progress reviews and practical support.
• Develop a clear, person-centred support and action plan with beneficiaries.
• Provide specialist advice and advocacy, identify appropriate services, and support referrals.
• Collaborate with beneficiaries and partner agencies to overcome barriers and coordinate support.
