Job summary

Niyaa People Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a growing supported living organisation in Wiltshire for an experienced Housing Support Officer. The role is a 3-month temporary contract with a view to permanent employment as the service expands. Location: Wiltshire.

Hours: Monday to Friday, on-site. Key duties include providing housing and tenancy support, welfare checks, and assisting residents with Housing Benefit and Universal Credit; coordinating move-ins and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• Experience in housing or homelessness services.
• Knowledge of Housing Benefit and Universal Credit.
• Ability to complete welfare checks, risk assessments and support plans.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide housing and tenancy-related support to residents.
• Carry out welfare checks and respond to concerns.
• Support residents with Housing Benefit, Universal Credit and welfare matters.
• Complete sign-ups, inductions and tenancy paperwork.
• Coordinate new resident move-ins and maintain records.
