Job summary

Commonwealth of Virginia's VEST program seeks a Coordinator of Infrastructure and Private Sector to ensure cross‑sector integration for disaster preparedness, response, and recovery. You will coordinate with federal, state, and local partners, oversee BEOC operations, and promote effective information sharing across the agency.

The role requires strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills, policy development expertise, and the ability to manage complex projects with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of emergency management principles and incident command structures.
• Understanding of critical infrastructure, lifelines, and interdependencies.
• Familiarity with public-private partnerships in disaster preparedness and response.
• Ability to build relationships with federal, state, local, and private-sector partners.
• Experience coordinating multi-agency operations and competing priorities.
• Ability to analyze information and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
• Experience planning and evaluating complex projects with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience delivering emergency management training and exercises.
• Strong written and verbal communication with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate infrastructure and private sector integration for disaster readiness and response.
• Lead information sharing and operational coordination across the agency and partners.
• Oversee BEOC operations and liaise with critical infrastructure programs and ENDEAVOR Virginia.
• Develop and implement policies supporting coordination across multiple levels of government.
• Represent the agency in cross-boundary stakeholder discussions and initiatives.
