The Virginia Department of Emergency Management is seeking a qualified Hazardous Materials Officer - Training to coordinate statewide HAZMAT emergency response and CBRN training programs. You will develop and deliver comprehensive training, collaborate with federal, state, local, and private partners, and support exercise planning.

Based at the HM/CBRN Training Center in Yorktown, this role allows up to two telework days per week and requires statewide travel.

Competenze

• Subject-matter expertise in hazardous materials and training.
• Experience with emergency response for hazardous materials/CBRNE incidents.
• Hands-on experience in adult training methods and curriculum development.
• Ability to develop, manage, and deliver comprehensive training programs.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication across sectors.
• Experience coordinating with federal, state, local and private-sector partners.
